HI life to the French Riviera to Switzerland to Seattle fall

“I’m sad summer is over,” I said to Bryce.

“But, didn’t you have a good summer?” he replied.

Yes, I had a fantastic summer. We packed so much into our Seattle summer. Hiking, camping, paddle boarding, baseball games, fun with friends, showing out-of-town visitors the sites, the list goes on and on. And, we also had fantastic end-of-summer travels that I am now recovering from.

Hawaii at the end of August to celebrate my cousin’s wedding. Followed by two days back home before heading out again to France where I got to celebrate a high school friend’s wedding in the town of Sisteron. Followed by a few days in a small town in Switzerland visiting relatives before flying back home to Seattle. (Oh, and there was a quick Dublin layover somewhere in there on the way to France.)

My body still may not know what time zone it is in but my heart is so full.

I have so much to recap on, and as always, not sure when I will get to it all. Would you believe me when I say I have a blog post saved in my drafts from my Japan trip in fall 2022?! Sighhh, maybe I will actually get to finishing it and can publish it two years later.

For now, it’s just easier to send off this little recap to bid farewell to summer and welcome fall. Fall always feels like a mini new year’s even though I am not in school nor is my kid old enough to be in school dictated by a proper school year. What do you have in store this fall?
